What clients say — and how we earn it
Our reviews cluster around three themes: quotes that matched final invoices, engineers who explained rather than sold, and gates that simply work. We invite feedback after every project and every service visit, publish our standards in advance on the about page, and treat any shortfall as ours to fix — in that order.
Recent feedback themes
"The quote was the invoice." Fixed written quotations against a surveyed specification — variations only ever arise from client-requested changes, priced before work proceeds.
"They told us what we didn't need." The feasibility survey that recommends against automating tired gates, the solar arithmetic that points to mains, the repair that beats replacement — advice that costs us revenue and earns us the county's most valuable currency, referrals.
"The paperwork was all there." Force test readings, Declaration of Conformity, electrical certificates, warranty terms — handed over in one pack, which several clients' insurers and solicitors have since had reason to appreciate.
"They turned up." A low bar the industry keeps failing to clear. Survey slots kept, installation windows honoured, repair response inside the stated two-to-four days.
How to check us — and any installer — properly
Reviews are evidence, not proof; here's how to weigh them. Look for specifics (dates, project types, named problems solved) over adjectives; look for how the company responds to imperfect reviews, because every real trading history contains some; and cross-check the review story against published standards — ours are on the about page, answerable line by line. Then ask for a drive-past reference of comparable local work, which we arrange gladly and cowboys can't.

Where can I read your reviews?
On the major review platforms under Guildford Gates, and summarised thematically here. Ask at survey and we'll point you to recent, comparable, checkable projects.
Will you use my project in your marketing?
Only with explicit permission, and never with an address. Discretion is standard for our client base; feedback is invited, publication is opt-in.
