Quotations and contracts

Quotations are fixed against the surveyed specification and valid for 30 days. Acceptance in writing (email suffices) forms the contract. Variations — client-requested changes or genuinely unforeseeable site conditions — are priced and agreed in writing before the related work proceeds.

Payments

Payments are staged to milestones stated in the quotation (typically deposit on order, stage on delivery/groundworks, balance at commissioning). Title in goods passes on payment in full; risk passes on delivery to site.

Site access and client responsibilities

The client provides reasonable access, accurate boundary and services information where known, and any consents that are theirs to obtain (e.g. estate or covenant consents — we assist, per the planning guide). Utility tracing is carried out before excavation; unmapped private services are the principal source of legitimate variations.

Warranty

Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from commissioning; manufacturer warranties on automation and components are passed through in full. Warranties require the gates to be used and maintained reasonably; automation warranties typically require annual servicing, as stated in your handover pack. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

Cancellation

Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, including the 14-day cooling-off period for off-premises contracts; bespoke fabrication commenced at your request within that period is chargeable as the regulations provide.
